The West Rehoboth Community Land Trust (Land Trust) was formed twenty years ago by the women of this historical black community. They were concerned about the deterioration of their community and with outsiders taking advantage of purchasing land. The Land Trust’s mission, and still our goal, is to help the black residents of West Rehoboth by providing safe, decent, and affordable housing for community members.
As we try to hold the essence of this historic Black Community. Outsiders continue taking advantage of the community. We provide support to black residents by renting decent affordable homes at the same level we have done for the past 10 years. We provide home ownership for our low-income residents by working with Habitat for Humanity to build homes on Land Trust land that is leased at no cost to the homeowner.

Our campaign goal is to raise $50,000 that will be used to maintain and make improvements to rental homes and paydown debt used in the purchase land that allows for home ownership of Habitat built homes.
